Our Story

Maura Fitzgerald is President of Simply Eventful, LLC, a Simsbury based organization specializing in several distinct segments: Human Resources/Small Business Consulting, Non for Profit Fundraising/Event Planning and beauty & hair related industries. As reflected in her 25 + years of experience. Maura embodies the entrepreneurial spirit. Among the most successful subsidies of Simply Eventful, LLC is The Hair Loft of Avon, which she established in 2008. Maura’s ability to procure such an array of talent under one roof is uncanny and provides an atmosphere that is totally positive at all times. Since that time, Maura has built The Hair Loft into one of the most prestigious and highly respected salons in the greater Hartford area. A visit to the salon is a very special experience!

In conjunction with growing her business and employing quality professionals in the Farmington-Valley area, Maura has performed considerable volunteer work in the community. She is seen volunteering with the Gifts of Love Farm on the planting and harvesting of fresh produce for their Food Pantry – “Basic Needs” program, chairing multiple gala fundraisers and Chairing the Board of Directors for Gifts of Love. She has also been a member of the Board of Directors of Healthy Eyes Alliance, a healthcare agency whose mission is “to prevent vision loss and promote healthy eyes.” Other boards/commissions include Town of Simsbury Economic Development Commission; “100 Women Who Can” of Farmington Valley; Cancer Survivors Who Can Charities, Inc; Farmington Valley Visitors Association and Farmington Valley Film Commission.

The staff is highly dedicated to providing contemporary and classic looks while keeping up with the current trends and techniques in hair cutting and coloring. We are highly skilled professionals with numerous years of experience, up-to-date education, and a vast repertoire of beauty techniques. We offer a full range of services for both men and women in our convenient location.
